Reading progress update: I've read 100%.
Interesting concept. Different. I liked the idea more than the execution. Somethings were never finished. Like the doorway Tam discovers, nothing ever comes of it, so it felt odd that there was emphasis on it. I never connected to the characters. It also felt like the author was more into Tam's practice/ethics then on the actual romance. I never believed that either one of them feel in love with the other.
It's a storyline filled with magic, mystery, and a little mayhem. Not much on the romance side.
