Review: Kingdom Series Chronicles Part 2 by Marie Hall

Kingdom Chronicles: Part 2 - Marie Hall

Kingdom Series Chronicles Part 2

The final two Kingdom Series Books as well as Danika’s Surprise, a companion novelette and the first sneak peek to the next Kingdom Book. Book 6, The Huntsman’s Prey, will spinoff from the Bad Boys and introduce the Dark Princesses.

Jinni’s Wish: Book 4

A long, long time ago there lived a man. A Jinni, who had one wish. To know love. But the woman he thought he knew betrayed him and the love he thought they shared. Tortured for his crimes, he was cast out of Kingdom, stripped of all his powers, left to langour in pain and solitude, until eventually he becomes nothing but a ghost…

Paz Lopez is an artist with a dream. To buy a ridiculously large penthouse in the swankiest section of Chicago. But there’s just one hitch, she has no man to share her dream with. A fateful visit to a carnival and Madam Pandora’s tent sends Paz on a mission to find the love of her life before it’s too late.

But the Madam forgot to tell Paz one very important detail… to meet him, Paz will have to die first.

Hook’s Pan: Book 5

Trishelle Page has known pain in her life, but instead of it making her weak, she’s stronger. Confident. That is until the day a fairy kidnaps her during her starring role in Peter Pan’s play and tells her not only do fairy tales exist, but that she’s the soulmate of the pirate they call Hook, making her question everything she ever thought she knew.

Captain James Hook is a man at the end of his rope. He’s not the villainous bastard tales have made him out to be. So when the feisty blonde drops literally at his feet, he aims to prove it to her. If only to get her into his bed.

What neither one knows is that fate and magic are conspiring and they can deny the attraction all they want but their happily ever after is already written, it’s just a matter of getting there.

MY REVIEWS

This series is fun, adventures, exciting and enjoyable to read. It is made for the adult audience. I also enjoyed cameos of earlier characters. I will never look at the old fairy tails the same way again.

Jinni’s Wish (Kingdom #4)

I read “Jinni’s Wish” in Kingdom Series Collection Part 2. I enjoy Marie Hall’s writing. It is amazing how someone can come up with those wonderful twisted stories that are full of charm, humor, sensuality and sweetness. This novella is the fourth installment in the Kingdom Series. The Bad Five are not as bad as they are made out to be in the original fairy tales. They are just misunderstood and need the love and understanding from their true mate. Each of the characters is flawed with real issues that many will relate to. Their paths are never simple or straight forward, but there is someone for everyone, at least if Danika (their fairy godmother) has her say.Paz is an aspiring artist who is looking for true love, her Todd. Her brother and his significant other Todd drag her to a carnival where a fortune teller tells her to go to Alaska before it’s too late….

We have seen Jinni in the other stories of this series, but here we get to really know him and his past. He is wasting away more each day and is barely a ghost when he finally meets his mate, but he believes it is too late…

Jinni’s Wish pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I enjoyed the sweet love story between Jinni and Paz and we end up traveling the cosmos with them as Jinni uses the last of his life force to show his love for her.

Hook’s Pan (Kingdom #5)

I read “Hook’s Pan” in Kingdom Series Collection Part 2. I enjoy Marie Hall’s writing. It is amazing how someone can come up with those wonderful twisted stories that are full of charm, humor, sensuality and sweetness. This novella is the fifth installment in the Kingdom Series. The Bad Five are not as bad as they are made out to be in the original fairy tales. They are just misunderstood and need the love and understanding from their true mate. Each of the characters is flawed with real issues that many will relate to. Their paths are never simple or straight forward, but there is someone for everyone, at least if Danika (their fairy godmother) has her say.Caption James Hook is a pirate, drinks to much, and has his own code. He has already loved and lost and he only wants revenge against his nemesis Peter Pan. Will he be able to see Trisha as she is and open up his heart again?

Trishelle has a sad past and does not believe in love. She has two faces: the one that she shows the world and the more guarded, sad and distrustful of men side. Danika is convinced that Trisha’s soul is an old one forever tied to Hook’s.

This story has some great snappy dialogue. As Trisha and Hook get to know one another in conversation and some erotic encounters, they eventually learn to love and recognize their true bond.

Danika’s Surprise #5.5

Danika’s Surprise #5.5 is about Alice and Hatter’s daughter being born. Their daughter ends up being Moon Touched which is a curse. It was a nice quick read and set up for another book. What will happen to Alice and Hatter’s daughter?
